The new ITV landscape in 2026: why the old tricks no longer work

Yes, completely. By improving combustion, less soot is produced, which extends the life of the diesel particulate filter (DPF) and reduces regeneration cycles.
When should I add the additive before the ITV?
Ideally, apply it about 150-300 km before the inspection so it has time to clean the whole circuit, but the shock protocol (explained above) works over shorter distances if you're in a hurry.
Can it clear an engine warning light on the dashboard?
